  • Albion travel to Southampton to play a club which certainly must be counted amongst our many rivals for promotion. It may be early in the season, but we can't afford too many poor performances against teams like Saints.

Like us, they still have more than a few players with Premiership experience on their books. It is a 17-year-old lad named Gareth Bale, however, who has raised the eyebrows of followers of the South Coast club. The defender has already scored two in two matches.

Four points from our first two matches isn't bad, but we've got to get better. Hopefully this will come as the season progresses, and perhaps we will add more players before the transfer window closes. I'm wondering if Robson might make some changes after our performance Tuesday.

  • Got to say I'm quite worried about this one, and see us slipping to a 2-1 defeat.

  • Scoreless draw. Things seemed pretty even in the first half but Saints bossed the match in the second.

Our attack fell apart (as per usual). We've not got enough strikers, and we look even worse with Ellington hurt.

We may have got something from each of our matches so far, but this season still feels like we've not progressed at all following our relegation last year.

  • They are my darkhorses for promotion and i can see us losing on current form so i'd take a point.

  • Ellington starts, XI remains unchanged

Zuberbuhler; Watson, C Davies, Perry, Robinson; Gera, Wallwork, Quashie, Greening; Ellington, Hartson.

Subs: Steele (gk), Chaplow, Albrechtsen, Carter, Inamoto

    Come on you Baggies
