  • I've recently upgraded to 3.7. Before the upgrade all the inline images were visible without problems using the [attach] tag.

Now there are some post where some of the images are visible and some not displaying the

Click image for larger version Name: P5249869.jpg Views: 4 Size: 94,5 KB ID: 2773

    message. My settings are

    View Attached Images Inline: Yes
    Thumbnail Creation: Yes
    Thumbnail Size: 500

but I don't understand the meaning of this

If thumbnails are enabled, any image without a thumbnail will be shown as a link, regardless of this setting's status, unless the image size happens to be within the thumbnail size limits. What does mean "any image without a thumbnail"? How can an image have a thumbnail inside the same file? When I upload an image I upload one file and not the image and the thumbnail.

I've tried to upload 2 images, one 500pixels wide and one bigger and inserted them using the [attach] tag. No one showed inline and, worse than that, if I click on the "click here..." link, nothing happen. How can I make images show again inline?

And why before everyone was able to use the [attach] tag and the images showed up and not now?

    Thanks

  • When rebuilding the attachment thumbnails most of my attachments say this:

"Processing: Attachment : (JPG) [1488] (Post : [53548] ) No support for this type in the chosen image library"

I have GD enabled and selected in the vB options > Image Settings.

Previous to my upgrade to 3.7 the attachment thumbnails worked fine. My options are:

    View Attached Images Inline: Yes
    Thumbnail Creation: Yes, with border
    Thumbnail Size: 200

  • If the attached image exceeds your thumbnail dimensions then it will generate a thumbnail. If the thumbnail fails to generate then it will be shown as a link.

    Try rebuilding your thumbnails:

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Update Counters -> Rebuild Attachment Thumbnails
