In other words, a 40oz of beer is how many shots of vodka or whatever?3-4a shot equals a beer. Beer is 12 ounces, so a 40 is a little more than three shots.I would say like 3-4It depends on the concentration or proof of each.
1Beer @ 6%= 40 (oz) x .06 (% alc) = 2.4oz pure alc
1Beer @ 12%= 40 (oz) x .12 (%alc) = 4.8 oz pure alc.
1 shot @ 42proof= 1(oz) x .21 (42 proof = 21%alc) = .21 oz pure alc
1 shot @ 80 proof= 1(oz) x .40 (80 proof = 40%alc) = .40 oz pure alc
by volume.
hope this helpsapprox. 3.5, but if you don't drink alot liquor it could effect more than the same equivalent of alcohol in beer.
