are too "manly" for cats? Cats rock and my husband has the unspoken attitude that cats are for girls. If one of my cats gets on him to be pet, he won't pet him. It is so adorable, I don't get how he can resist! It bugs me. My boyfriend pretends he doesn't love our kitten,
but when he thinks i'm not watching he'll cradle her like a baby and kiss her and tell her he loves her. Its so cute! lolhaha, my hubby isnt like that. Infact, we are opposite on it. He had a cat for 14 years he watched be born, and he raised from a kitten because the mom died, and we even saw the poor little old man die...but he loved that cat to death. hes always liked cats, and doesnt like dogs, I love dogs more, but my cat Grizabella is my little princess and i love her to pieces. No, my fiance adores my cats and doesnt hide it! because he knows i love my cats and he wants me to be happy! so the more love he shows them, the more love i show him! ;)Not at all. My man is a true-blue tree hugger and animal lover. In fact, most of our cats were his to start with!
He is always coming home with a new animal that he's rescued from God knows where, and looks at me with those eyes and says, "We can keep it, right? Just until.....(it's better, we find it a home, etc. etc).....?
....So....we have 5 cats and 4 turtles. I'm sure it is only just starting...No, because I avoid men like that. Men that don't like cats have issues with wanting to control. Cats aren't like dogs - they won't follow on your heel and bow to you. And some men are insecure and NEED that. So when a cat is aloof and doesn't let a man be in charge he hates that - and that's the same way be behaves with women. A-V-O-I-D!
I don't think it's adorable your husband won't pet the cat. It's immature and being rather cold to an animal that obviously wants to receive affection.nope...i have cats...a few my hubby likes, a few he dislikes. one of the ones he likes has claimed him, and he LOVES her. hes always petting her and playing with her, and he calls her CAT even though she has a real name....he really only dislikes the way i am with our kitten. since shes the baby he claims i have her spoiled rotten.My boyfriend doesnt care either way. My father tries to act like he's too manly for cats and then I find him playing with them or petting them.I thought my husband was going to be the same way when he finally gave in and "let" me have a cat. Well, I'm not sure if it was the shear cuteness of my little fuzzy baby girl that got to him or what, but he was exactly opposite of what I thought. Picture this...a husky "manly man" out walking a little white kitten in a pink harness and pink leash! Right in front of all his "manly man" buddies from the neighborhod no less! He didn't care what all his buddies were thinking, and saying. He looked like a proud papa and warned his buddies "don't mess with my cat". His cat??? Hey, I thought it was my cat! lolhes a dog person deal with itmy bf is the same way i actually put the cat on his lap just to get a rise outta him lolMy man is secure enough in his masculinity to openly love cats. He takes pride in how most cats gravitate toward him. He and my male cat get along so well, he plans out when to take a nap on the couch so the cat can snuggle up to him. And you should see the cat sling himself across the boyfriend's shoulders. thats pretty messed up that he refuses to pet the cat when it goes up to him. maybe you should have a talk with your husband about his insecurities or maybe he's a sociopathThe mark of a true man is not needing to be manly all the time.
Any man who has to constantly show he's manly, isn't. If he's constantly saying he's manly, he's not. He's a child covering up deep insecurities.

People relate cats to children. It's reasonable to assume he'll treat a child the same way he treats a cat.Yes!!! He always complains about them but....one day he came home from work and I was waiting for him to unlock the door. I was waiting and waiting and finally i looked out of the window and I saw him petting the cat!i have always found something similar between women and cats... they have the same mystery in their eyes, same attitude... u cant control or own any of them..unless THEY let u ....
if a man cant deal with dat of a cat n rather backs off....he'll do the same to a woman.....
