    - Avoid unnecessary contact with domestic poultry and wild birds, including farms and markets where live and slaughtered animals are sold.

    President’s Comments:
On the 4/3/06 Daily Update I listed an item that FluTrackers reported regarding 2 dead penquins in La Possession that reportedly had died from H5N1. We relied on an article published by the Clicanoo news service. They have since retracted this report citing an April Fool’s joke as the reason for the publishing of the penguin story. I am not amused. From this date forward I will consider all reports published by the Clicanoo news service as dubious. We may require a 2nd source and/or we may also consider using a disclaimer when this service is cited.
