  • 1 and 2 are the only ones that can be recycled in common sense. 3-7 the technology is coming but the best thing to do is dont buy any items that parent marked 1 or 2


  • None in my area. There needs to be though, as most plastics I see are not 1s and 2s. =)


  • Good question. I am so annoyed about this, since I live in new Jersey and Rutgers was the university that helped pioneer the plastics rating system. It's not right! I seem to remember from a while back that they do recycle ALL plastics in Nantucket.


  • My area recycles all plastics except 7 and styrofoam :) Maybe you should move in with me!
